Simple easy recipe of Mysore Pak
Quick & Easy Mysore Pak
Mysore Pak is a very popular sweet in India, made of besan (gram flour), ghee and sugar syrup.
Prep time 20 mins
Cook time 25-30 mins
Ingredients:
Water - 1/2 cup
Besan (gram flour) - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 cup
Sugar - 2 cup
Method:
Step 1
Sieve the besan and keep aside. From this step, you will get a smooth texture to prepare the Mysore Pak.
Step 2
Take a nonstick pan, add ghee and roast the besan on a medium-low flame. It will take at least 10 minutes to give a nice flavor.
Step 3
Take sugar and water in a deep and wide saucer pan. Put it on the flame. Dissolve sugar in the water and boil it to form sugar syrup of one thread consistency.
Step 4
Melt the ghee in a pan. Keep aside.
Step 5
Add the besan step by step to the sugar syrup and mix it properly so that no lumps are formed.
Step 6
At that point add the above hot ghee to the flour and mix it ceaselessly till the blend begins bubbling.
Step 7
Proceed with this procedure till all the ghee is expended and there is a pleasing sweet roast aroma.
Step 8
Transfer the mixture into a greased tray and cool a little and cut into the desired shape.
Step 9
Separate the pieces when completely cool down & enjoy the delicious Mysore Pak.
Note:
Keep on low flame while stirring.
Keep it in an airtight container.
