Quick recipe of Navratri Vrat Wale Aloo

Navratri  Vrat Wale Aloo 



This is a very basic and simple recipe. Prepared with boiled potatoes, tomatoes and flavored with spices.

Cook Time- 15 Min

Servings- 4-5

INGREDIENTS for Navratri  Vrat Wale Aloo 


Potatoes 3
Grated tomatoes 2 (omit if you do not eat in vrat)
Beaten Curd (yogurt) 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1/4 tsp
Haldi (Turmeric powder) 1/4 tsp (leave it if you do not eat in vrat)
Coriander powder1/2 tsp   (leave it if you do not eat in vrat)
Sendha namak(Rock salt)  to taste
Cumin seeds as required
Ghee 1/2 tbsp
Chopped cilantro leaves (for Decoration)


METHOD for Navratri  Vrat Wale Aloo 

Boil the potatoes & cut into the pieces.

Take the pan & heat the ghee. Then add cumin seeds. After few seconds add tomato and curd.

Mix and saute for 1 minute. Add red chili powder, haldi n salt.

Stir and bring it to boil. When the oil starts to leave the masala, mix in the boiled potatoes.

And add 1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of water - depending on how thick you prefer your gravy to be.

Bring it to boil, garnish with cilantro leaves.



Serve hot with Kuttu or Singhare ki poori.

Note:

If you are using this recipe in fasting then no onion or garlic is used. But if you are using this recipe as a normal day then add both the things.
