A delicious paneer dish cooked with a curd & tomato based gravy.This dish has a refreshing taste.

PHALAHARI KADHI PANEER


Preparation time: 20mins
Cooking time: 20mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients: 

Paneer (cottage cheese) 250gm
Chopped Tomatoes  4-5
Curd 2 tbsp
Cloves 4
Cinnamon stick 1
Green cardamom 2-3
Cumin seed ½ tsp
Pepper corns 2 tsp (as per taste)
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Green chilies 2
Desi Ghee (clarified butter) 1tbsp
Sendha namak(Rock salt) as per taste
Chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp (for garnish)

Method:

Cut the paneer into cubes & fried to a light brown.
Cut the tomato and make its puree adding curd.
Slit the green chilies.
Dry roast the cloves, cinnamon stick, cumin seeds, pepper corns and cardamoms.
Remove it from pan and allow to cool slightly and grind the spices.
Heat the ghee and add the ginger paste.
Saute the ginger paste and add the tomato and curd puree, grinded spices, salt and stir-fry till the fat separates.
Add the paneer cubes & slit green chilies and allow to simmer till the paneer is well mixed with the spices.
Serve the paneer hot, garnished with the coriander leaves.

Note:

If you are not using tomatoes in vrat(fast) then avoid it.
